About Shallow Levée
Shallow Levée (淺堤) is a four-piece rock band from Taiwan. The four members hail from the southern port city of Kaohsiung and the offshore island of Penghu. Their style draws inspiration from American bands such as Wilco, The Strokes, and Alabama Shakes, as well as Japanese bands like Fishmans, Sunny Day Service, and Mitsume. They also blend in the rule-breaking compositions of Thelonious Monk and the heartfelt folk tunes of Kevin Morby and Olivia Dean, creating a rich patchwork of indie rock sounds that resonate with everyone.
