Blackwinterwells (born July 5, 1996) is the cloud rap and emo rap project of Canadian musician and producer Wells, who previously produced electronic music under the alias Drainpuppet. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, he began releasing dubstep on SoundCloud in the early 2010s before shifting toward cloud rap in 2018, heavily inspired by artists like Lil Peep. That same year, he founded the internet music collective Helix Tears (alongside Lil Eli, Bella Lugxsi, Vivian Rose, POPSTARBILLS, 8485, blxty, and Lilac).
