Demetrius Shawnta Oglesby Jr. was born in Dayton, Ohio, USA. He refers to himself as ME3CH. He got the name in 7th grade, at Richard Allen Schools, when he told someone his nickname was "Meechy". Around the time, Rick Ross' song, "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)" had came out. In the chorus he says,"I think I'm Big Meech." His friends, joking around, started calling him Big Meech, which later shortened to just Meech. By the 10th grade, it became his rap name.
