The Portion brings together several different genres, meshing heart-tugging harmonies with gritty chords, cinematic climaxes, and poetic lyrics in order to express the joy that comes from recognizing human weakness. Written by Justin Sinclair and Aaron Feeney, each song has a totally different musical and lyrical impact on the listener. No one song can sum up the album, since influences include everything from church hymns to 60's rockers to film scores.
