Brian Bowman

Born in 1946 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Brian L. Bowman grew up in Dixon, Illinois, and began studying the euphonium at the age of nine. As a student musician, he won many local, state, and national honors. He received both the B.M. and M.M. degrees from the University of Michigan and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Catholic University of America. He has taught at both schools. Many new compositions for euphonium have been inspired by the performances of Brian Bowman
