Doyle Bramhall II & Smokestack

After releasing his first two albums, the self-titled Doyle Bramhall II album (1996), and its follow-up Jellycream (1999), guitarist and vocalist Doyle Bramhall II started working with his new backing band, Smokestack in the early 2000s. Their first release, Welcome (2001), was released on RCA Records and featured the single "Green Light Girl", which reached #33 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in June 2001. The band promoted the album on tour in 2001
