Darkmode aka David Dodds first started producing music back in 1998 when he was studying a 2-year course in a BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology. In the 2nd year of his course he produced a CD for his major project, titled, Fish on Bricks. Some of the tracks were produced in his 1st year of the course using the colleges equipment. He used a Kurzweil K2000 synth and an 808 Drum Machine and recorded the tracks down on a 4-track porter studio.
