About YellowStraps
The Belgian duo YellowStraps is typical of this trend and is not afraid to integrate hip-hop, jazz, R&B, downtempo beats and soul into their songs. The result is surprisingly coherent, charming and sometimes sensual, and actually as fascinating as it is sometimes unsettling, especially their outros. YellowStraps was created by two brothers, Yvan (vocals) and Alban (guitar) Murenzi. They were born in Rwanda and grew up in Uganda before moving to Belgium, more precisely in the suburbs of Brussels.
