About Hervé Bourde

Hervé Bourde (born July 12, 1951 in Marseille) is a French jazz and improvisational musician (saxophone, flute, clarinet, piano, bolemar, synthesizer) and composer. Bourde, from a musical family, studied with Jean-Pierre Rampal and Alain Marion at the Académie Internationale de musique de Nice. As a flutist, he received the first prize of the Conservatory of Marseilles. In the 1970s he worked with Barney Wilen, Christian Vander and Laurent Cugny.
