Seiji Oda is a lo-fi hip hop / hyphy rapper, producer, and singer-songwriter from Oakland, California, United States. Of Japanese, Irish, and Panamanian descent, he has pioneered a unique sound he calls 'lo-fi hyphy,' blending the Bay Area's traditional hyphy energy with meditative, ambient production influenced by Japanese city pop, jazz, and natural soundscapes. Seiji Oda began producing and creating music in high school, initially working with software like Mixcraft 5.
