Miquel López

Miquel López (Born 1 February 1669; Died: 7 June 1723) was a Spanish Baroque composer, organist and musicologist. Miguel López was Benedictine monk in Montserrat Monastery and headed the Escolania de Montserrat as choirmaster. López joined the Escola de Montserrat in 1678 and was trained there by Joan Cererols and Joan Garcia until 1684. In 1686 he joined the Benedictine Order. He continued his studies from 1686 to 1696 at the monastery of San Martín de Madrid.
