About Mönch von Salzburg
The Monk of Salzburg (German: Mönch von Salzburg) was a German composer of the late 14th century. Although his name is unknown, as is his monastic order, all the manuscripts that contain his works "agree that he was a learned monk who wrote sacred and secular songs". He lived at the court of Pilgrim von Puchheim, archbishop of Salzburg (1365–96).
