About Vanvidd
Vanvidd is a folk/black metal band from Arendal, Southern Norway, formed in 2013. Their music fuses raw 90s-inspired black metal aggression with traditional Norwegian folk elements, uptempo melodies, orchestral arrangements, and themes drawn from ancient folklore, fairy tales, paganism, mythology, nature, and national-romanticism—creating a unique "boggy" southern Norwegian soundscape often compared to Moonsorrow, Finntroll, Trollfest, and Korpiklaani, yet distinctly their own.
