Valdis Muktupāvels

Valdis Muktupāvels (born November 9, 1958 in Latvia) is an ethnomusicologist and musician who is a central figure in the Latvian folk revival. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist and a well renowned master of kokle, Muktupāvels has been at the forefront of many Latvian folk ensembles, including his own Ensemble Rasa.
