Asami Kuji (born 1922, Taisho 11) (February 2nd - July 11th, 1996) was a Japanese woman Yu, singer. Former top female role star of the Takarazuka Revue's Moon Troupe. She was born in Shintomi-cho, Kyobashi Ward (present-day Chuo Ward), Tokyo City. Her real name was Yoshiko Moriyama. Her birthplace was the Moriyama Photo Studio, which took many photographs of Kabuki actors during the Meiji era. In 1939, after graduating from Kojimachi Girls' High School, she entered the Takarazuka Music and Dance School.
