Roni Shewan

Roni Shewan is a singer/songwriter hailing from the cultural hub of Melbourne Australia. An artist who is sincere, honest and unpretentious, her dynamic and unique singing style has been described as "graceful" and "moving". She has been compared to and inspired by a diverse range of musicians including Kate Bush, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, P J Harvey, Rufus Wainwright, Nick Drake, Portishead and Lisa Gerrard. Roni's musical career began at age 17, when she recorded a number of original songs with producer/musician Rod Peterson.
