About 林慧萍
Monique Lin Hui-ping (born 20th August 1963) was a popular Taiwanese idol singer in the 80s and early 90s. She participated in a television show made by Kolin Records in September 1981. She immediately caught attention with her image and vocals, and was hence signed by Kolin for a scheduled debut by end of 1982. With Japanese artists like 松田聖子 (Seiko Matsuda) getting popular within Asia, Kolin Records decided to shape Lin's musical concept and genre in the same way.
