Darren Heinrich

Darren holds a 1st class Honours degree from Sydney Conservatorium in Jazz Piano/Organ, where he studied with Judy Bailey, Kevin Hunt and Mike Nock. Durning January 2006 Darren spent the month studying with organist Tony Monaco in Columbus/OH. His Honours Thesis is entitled: Jimmy Smith and Larry Young - Blue Note Records jazz organ masters - a comparison of style. Also while studying Darren received the Jacek Chrostowski Encouragement Award for Jazz Piano. He performs as a freelance musician on organ and piano in his hometown of Sydney.
