Nicolaus Craen

Nicolaus Craen or Nicolaes (ca. 1440/50 — shortly after 29 March 1507) was a composer from the Dutch school. In 1504 Craen was a singer at the Sint-Donaaskerk in Bruges. From 1501 to 1507 he was also employed as a singing master by the Illustrious Lieve Vrouwe Broederschap in 's-Hertogenbosch. Three of his surviving works, Ecce video, Tota pulchra es and Si ascendero, were converted into lute tablature . His Salve Regina has also been found in one of the choirbooks of the Madrid court chapel .
