Mads Lumholt

The composer, Mads Lumholt, was born in Greenland, but since 1984 has lived in Denmark, where he has been active for several years as a musician, teacher, choirmaster and actor. He has performed for example in the inter-Nordic orchestra Northern Voices, and is at present a singer in the orchestra Nowhereland and in the vocal ensemble No Offense. At the same time Lumholt has grown up with the traditional Greenlandic musical culture, especially the drum song and dance, which his mother collected from old Greenlanders.
