MYNA

There are/were two different bands called Myna: 1) Myna from Austin, Texas: Myna was formed over the summer of 2002 in Commerce, Texas, where Singleton met bassist Blake Ball and drummer Jeremy Harrell at college. They recorded a demo early on of some folk-pop tunes that Singleton had written, but as the band's writing progressed, the music took on a darker, moodier, and harder edge. Influences from all over the map can be heard in their music, from maverick songwriter Chris Whitley
