Miksu / Macloud

Miksu and Macloud are a producer duo from Essen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, primarily recognized for their contributions to the German rap and hip-hop scene. The duo consists of Miksu, born Joshua Allery on December 1, 1987, and Macloud, born Laurin Auth on August 2, 1988. Miksu first gained prominence under the alias Joshimixu, producing for prominent German hip-hop artists such as Sido, Farid Bang, KC Rebell, and Haftbefehl. One of his breakthrough moments came in 2011 when he produced "Kontrolle/Schlaf" for Casper’s album XOXO, which reached number one on the German charts and earned Miksu his first gold certification. Over the years, Miksu’s production style evolved, and he began working with both hip-hop and pop artists, such as Mike Singer and Howard Carpendale. He has been under contract with Warner/Chappell Music since 2015 and launched his own edition in 2017. His collaborations with Macloud, featuring their distinct producer tags, further expanded his recognition in the industry. Macloud, whose real name is Laurin Auth, also hails from Essen. He initially performed as a rapper under the alias Bad Educated, releasing mixtapes such as 2 the fullest in 2011 and Untergrund Classic in 2014. By 2016, he shifted his focus toward music production, often working alongside Miksu. Their collaborations have since become a staple in German rap, providing beats for artists like Apache 207, Summer Cem, Loredana, and many others. The duo's collective success is reflected in several highly-acclaimed projects. They produced songs for chart-topping albums like Jung, brutal, gutaussehend 2 by Farid Bang and Kollegah, and Karma by Mike Singer, both of which earned gold certifications. In 2018, Miksu produced the music for a nationwide Tipico ad campaign featuring FC Bayern Munich. Miksu and Macloud have collaborated on three full-length albums.
