Skomplazi are Vukani & Zolani, who grew up in Claremont, Durban in an informal settlement called Skomplazi. In 1995 they hooked up with Saziso Hlongwane who suggested they form a dance group called Durban Mix. They worked together until 1997. Vukani - Began as a freelance dancer in shows as early as 1993. In 1994 he formed a group called Dollars- a pantsula dancing group. In the same year Vukani met Zolani & Smatsatsa at a Miss Valentine show and formed a group called Superstars Pantsulas.
