HUD was born in Houston, Texas the birthplace of Beyonce Knowles of the multi-platinum selling group Destiny's Child, Mike Jones, Scarface, Brooke Valentine, Chamillionaire, and many others. HUD was raised in the Kelly Court Village in the 5th Ward housing projects, on the north-east side of Houston. The 5th Ward at that time was one of the roughest neighbourhoods in the Houston metropolitan area.
