Brassband Gloria Deï

On October 30th 1923 there was a meeting planned in a local pub in Stroobos. The 20 participants all had the same goal in eyes: to start a christian music association. This music association got the name “Gloria Deï”, which means: 'Praise God'. Music Association ‘Gloria Deï’ started as a christian fanfare. Currently the band resides in Gerkesklooster-Stroobos. Since 1923 the corps “Gloria Deï” was lead by Willem Pieters Westra. Since 1939 Pieter Kamminga lead the corps.
