晋友会合唱団

This is an amateur choir which is comprised of more than 10 choirs and is directed by principal conductor/choir director Shin Sekiya. The choir's first appearance was in 1980 in a performance of Mahler symphonie der tausend with New Japan Philharmonic/Ozawa. Since then,the choir has performed in most of the concerts in programs with a choir with NJP/Ozawa. Their overseas debut was in 1987 when they were invited to perform Mahler's Resurrection for Vienna's Musikverein Special Concerts.
