The Maerlock

The Maerlock is a British five-piece folk ensemble based in Manchester. Comprising Salma Alam (vocals, flute, electronics), Sarah Stuart (fiddle, backing vocals), Olly Hamilton (piano, synthesiser, electric bass, accordion, backing vocals), N.N. (guitars, backing vocals), and Toby Kearney (bodhrán, percussion, backing vocals), their debut album, Sofa, was released on Fellside recordings in July 2008. They have also recorded and performed with 13 additional musicians as The Maerlock Big Band.
