Matias Kupiainen

Matias Kupiainen was born May 11, 1983 in Helsinki, making him 29 years old. He is a Finnish guitarist and producer. He is currently the guitarist for the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius, and composed 3 of the songs on their newest album, Polaris. Aside from his work with Stratovarius, he has a project band called Fist in Fetus, and he also made a guest appearance on the 2007 Guitar Heroes album, on the track "12 Donkeys". Matias has studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the Pop & Jazz Conservatory in Oulunkylä.
