Mataya Clifford

Mataya Clifford Chewaluza was born in Zimbabwe, but moved to London, United Kingdom in 1967, where he became an indie musician. Around 1978 he used the alias Mat Stagger and collaborated with later Killing Joke drummer, Paul Ferguson. He mostly recorded as Mataya Clifford between 1970 and 1990, releasing two full-length albums, Road of Life (1975) and Star Fell from Heaven (1976).
