The Scots of St. James

About The Scots of St. James

Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, The Scots of St. James changed their name from The In Crowd when they moved to London. In the summer of 1966, before moving, their line-up settled at James Oakley (vocals), High Nicholson (guitar), Ian Murray (bass) and Stuart Francis (drums). Keyboardist James Mylchreest was added in London. In December of that year they released their début 45 on the independent Go label, a cover of Ben E. King's ballad 'Gypsy' coupled with 'Tic Toe', an original, penned by Murray.
