Red Hayes

Red Hayes (born Joe Herman Hayes in Garden Valley, TX, on 4 April 1926; died in Manchester UK, on 2 March 1973) was an American fiddle player and singer-songwriter who co-wrote the song "A Satisfied Mind" with Jack Rhodes. He also recorded as Joe "Red" Hayes. He was touring in Manchester UK with Faron Young and Vassar Clements as the "Country Deputies with Connie Smith" when he died on stage on 2 March 1973.
