Miss Columbia

Misao Matsubara (ミス・コロムビア)(March 28, 1911 – June 19, 1984) was a female popular singer who was mainly active in the pre-war period. Before the war, she also performed under the name Miss Columbia. In 1939, she married singer Noboru Kirishima (real name: Eigo Sakamoto). Born on March 28, 1911 (Meiji 44) in Otaru Ward, Hokkaido (present-day Otaru City) . While attending Tokyo Music School (present-day Tokyo University of the Arts)
