Felder's Orioles

Originally known as The Beat Society, Felder's Orioles (sometimes but less commonly spelled as Felders Orioles without the apostrophe) was a North London, United Kingdom R&B group that included a young John Halsey in their ranks, on his way to greater things with Timebox, Patto and The Rutles. Keys player Barry Hubband sang lead on what is perhaps the group's most successful recording: their July 1965 cover version of 'Down Home Girl' by Leiber and Butler
