Ray French

Mysterious British singer Ray French's only single was pressed by the Pye label and set for a November 1966 release, but it may never have been actually released, it may have been promo only instead. On the A side is a cover version of Smokey Robinson's 'Since I Lost My Baby', while the flip side is a win ging sixties soul pop number entitled 'Gun Me Down'. On some of the white label pressings found in the Pye vaults the artist was listed as The Ray French Crowd.
