Mark Mckay

Mark McKay writes rugged, honest songs in the tradition of rootsy rock’n roll; his work has been compared to that of Alejandro Escovedo, Cracker’s David Lowry, and a Nebraska-era Bruce Springsteen. Mark is mixing his next album in Brooklyn with producer/guitarist Eric "Roscoe" Ambel and engineer Tim Hatfield. On his most recent release, Shimmer (also produced by Ambel), McKay's songs tell stories that are philosophical, romantic, and at times political.
