About 侯德健
侯德健 (Hou Dejian) is a singer/songwriter originally from Taiwan. He became famous for a song he wrote in 1978 called 龍的傳人 (simplified 龙的传人 / lóng de chuánrén) "Descendants of the Dragon". He relocated to Mainland China in the 1980s, where he remained until running afoul of the authorities during the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests. He later migrated to New Zealand. His musical output since 1990 has been quite infrequent.
