Jane Lewis

Singer-songwriter Jane Lewis brings a mastery of language to songwriting that is evident on her debut recording, a four-song EP released in November 2010. From quieter piano-based compositions to heavy blues and a piece featuring a string quartet, the music is lyrical and engaging. Canadian folk favourites Tannis Slimmon and Katherine Wheatley provide the harmonies that are an important thread woven through the music. Based in Guelph, Lewis performs in Southern Ontario with her partner, longtime musician Sam Turton.
