Patricia Beysens

Patricia Beysens (Rotterdam, 1956) is a Dutch singer, specially devoted to German songs from Berlin in the 20s and 30s. The time in which the 'Kabarets', despite of, or thanks to, the economic crisis and political insecurity, were very successfull. These songs were the perfect reflection of satire and humour, melancholic poetry and decadence of those days. Besides this repertoire she also sang a lot of socially engaged songs from the former DDR.
