The late British folk musician Tom Hall was one of those characters who are legendary in their own backyard (in his case, the town of Northampton, United Kingdom) but largely unknown outside of that immediate area. Named after a local brew, The Celebrated Ratliffe Stout Band eventually became a fully-fledged folk group with four albums to their name. At the time of their 1975 début LP, however, the grandiose name masked a husband-and-wife duo: Tom on vocals
