Michael Schoen

Michael Schoen is a singer/songwriter born in 1981 and raised on the summer beaches of Montauk. He plays soulful acoustic chords that, mixed with his youthful voice, belie the searching uncertainties of his questioning lyrics. Influenced by and aspiring to the lush folk lyricism of musicians such as Jeff Buckley, Jack Johnson, and Damien Rice, Schoen's reinterpretation of Buckleys lyrics has been described as astonishing by Grammy-nominated songwriter and Buckley collaborator Gary Lucas.
