The Drakes put out two albums - 1995's The Drakes and 1996's Serve It Up - while building a loyal following in Arizona's desert rock scene, which also included the Sidewinders (Sand Rubies), Green on Red, Gin Blossoms, Refreshments and Dead Hot Workshop.
