About Tewa Indian Women's Choir
The Tewa Indian Women's Choir of Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo NM has been providing liturgical and secular song in their Tewa language since Christmas Eve 1969. Currently under the direction of Susan Roller Whittington (Santa Clara Pueblo descent), the choir continues to sing at local and out-of-state events. The group currently has three (3) CDs in circulation: Fun & Social Songs (2000) and Tewa Christmas (2002). Their first recording, Songs from the Tewa Mass (1994) is out of print.
