Ugnė Vyliaudaitė and Marija Rasa Kudabaitė have been quietly operating in their own corner of the Belgian scene, slowing trip hop vapors thru dubby pulses and hazy decelerated electro, folk & new age ambient. Incorporating violin, synthesisers and sampling techniques. Timestretched vocal snippets, detuned keys, crumpled breaks help build an image of the recent past that's not easy breezy nostalgia. Ugne & Maria sound as if they're tripping over memories as they scrawl in diaristic shorthand.
