D E P R E S S E D 0 4 0 was a duo from Malmö, Sweden formed by Diazepam/Micke Engelberger (Offerstigen, Happyhour, Idiot Child) in late 2013-early 2014, later joined by Anna Helmersson (Tropical Vampire, Body & Guts) in 2017 (citation needed). Coining their work as "Depressive Suicidal Witch House", D040 made gloomy experimental and dark electronic music inspired by DSBM musicians (citing Lifelover, Apati, and Hypothermia specifically) and witch house music like White Ring.
