Sargento García

Sargento García (often written as Sergent Garcia) mixes cuban salsa and reggae with other styles. His first record - in which other artists are included, mainly the Locos del Barrio - is a real success in France. This album conceals songs with energy (salsa endiablée) and some more quiet (Palinque). Lyrics deal with love, poverty, chamanism, Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos … a very Latin background. His last record changes everything. The sergent got a new style: he changed his Panama hat and cigar against a very R&B look.
