Andrew Woodward

(1985 - 2010) Bassist/Composer Andy Woodward grew up in a supportive and small Pennsylvanian community – listening to country music. When I met with Andy he laughed and said, “perhaps it was the monotony and homogeneity of popcountry music which made me seek what's beyond.” And that seeking which has driven the young jazz musician to become an individual stylist on his instrument with a singular vision of change. Andy is influenced as much by famous Eastern Philosophers like Lao Tzu as by today's leading innovative musicians.
