Shishtari Murad

Shishtari Murad is a name that surfaces today through modern performance traditions of Ottoman/Persianate classical repertory: on Supraphon’s Pilgrimage / Musical Journey of Kryštof Harant to Jerusalem / circa 1600 he is credited as “Shishtari Murad (?–1688)” for Chashm-e Mast, Huseyni Agir Semai, a piece programmed and recorded by Cappella Mariana in collaboration with Constantinople (Kiya Tabassian and colleagues).
