The Assembly

More than one band has used this name: 1) The Assembly was an experimental band founded by Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure) and Eric C. Radcliffe (producer of Yazoo and Depeche Mode) in London, UK following the split of Yazoo in mid-1983. The idea was to get a new singer for each track, but only one single was made; 'Never Never' featuring former Undertones-frontman Feargal Sharkey. The single reached number 2 on the UK charts in late 1983.
