Peppino Principe (Monte Sant’Angelo, Foggia, 15 September 1927 - 8 March 2018) was an Italian piano accordionist and ensemble leader. Also known as Tony Romano. He was the winner of the Jazz Referendum in 1946 as "Best Jazz Accordionist", and in 1961 of the "World Accordion Oscar", the highest international recognition of the instrument. With his "Excelsior" accordion he performed in the biggest theaters in the world: "Carnegie Hall" in New York
