Ronnie Rice & The Gents

This Chicago-based artist released several 45s during a career which spanned at least from 1962-78. They were mostly pop or country singles but Pebbles, Vol. 22 (LP) includes one of his recordings, I Want You To Be My Girl, which may interest readers being a cover of the Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers' hit done garage style. Our friends in Chicago will also no doubt remember him primarily in his other role as a member of the excellent New Colony Six. Warm Baby and La Do Da Da from 1966 can also now be heard on The Quill Records Story (CD).
